Many people know the shy smile between Cloud and Tifa in the ending of AC, but actually, Cloud’s first smile in the movie to her is when Tifa reached out to him in the Bahamut fight (arguably, the one he gave Denzel was his first smile.) I never noticed it for years, and I only knew this from the forums. The smile was like .4356 of a second long but after painstakingly taking screenshots I get rewarded with this.
And now a neutral, objective commentary:
Here is Cloud totally being serious, and if you want to check his constipated expressions when being assisted by other party members before this feel free to look at them.
Then it’s like, he saw her…
“Tifa..”
“Oh my waifu”
*thinks of sex*
“want want”
*Tifa’s majesty*
She was like “Cloud I’m here for you-“
Then it was like “this is no time to think about sex”
“But you’re gonna get some tonight!”
Note all of this happened in approximately five seconds but we all know time runs slower when you’re in love <3
After this, watch again the smile between Cloud and Tifa at the ending ^^,
(Technically the next night because Cloud and Sephy’s fight lasted for the entire night and the Avalanche reunion party happened just right after Denzel’s baptism.)
